DAY OF THE DEAD FESTIVAL IN SAN JOSE

Day of the Dead is a cultural and tradition celebration. Día de Muertos is a Pre-Hispanic, dating thousands of years back, unique celebration, in which people commemorate their beloved departed. The importance of maintaining this tradition preserves and pays homage to the richness of Mexican culture. This festival is very popular among the entire community. The teachers, students and the community in general come together to celebrate Day of the Dead Festival, rich historic value, like a multicultural celebration. This year, The National Hispanic University of San Jose will celebrate the Day of the Dead Festival in large with beautifully decorated altars, entertainment with local artist, popular bands, dancing, mask contest, food, art crafts, activities for children, sugar skulls, traditional Cempasuchil, or "Flower of the Dead" .
